Our longstanding supporters at the Dunstable & District Boat Club have asked us to publicise that they have moorings available. Their base is Cooks Wharf, Pitstone, Bucks, LU7 9AD. The club is situated two miles downstream from Marsworth in a pleasant open country setting.
Comprising of an online marina with pontoon moorings with water and electric provided for every boat. It is a cruising club and the max length of boat that can be accommodated is 40ft. The facilities are excellent, including a slipway, covered wet dock, trailer parking and elsan diposal. When away on a cruise your car is safe inside the gated compound of the club, this is protected with security cameras and night lighting.
The clubhouse is used for monthly social meetings with dinner, entertainment and of course a licensed bar. The costs are kept low because the club is owned by the members and maintained by the members, with a half day work party once a month. Wendover Canal Trust members have been mooring their boats at this club for many years. The motto of the club has been aptly named as The Best Boat Club on the Cut.
